Housing Development Summit at UKREiiF: Three Days Focused on Unlocking 1.5 Million Homes

The Housing Development Summit returns to UKREiiF with a clear purpose: bringing together the leaders responsible for delivering the next generation of homes across England.

Across three focused days in Leeds, the Summit will convene local authorities, housing associations, housing companies, investors, developers and government agencies to tackle one of the UK’s biggest challenges, how to accelerate the delivery of 1.5 million new homes.

This is not another talking shop. The programme is designed to connect decision-makers, challenge assumptions and create practical solutions that unlock real projects.

Day One: Breaking Down the Barriers

The opening day sets the scene by tackling the issues currently slowing housing delivery.

From navigating the Gateway 2 building safety regime to unlocking stalled developments, senior leaders from government, councils and the development sector will explore how regulation, risk and uncertainty can be managed without delaying new homes.

The focus is simple: how do we get projects moving again?

Day Two: Unlocking Sites and Investment

The second day turns to the financial and structural challenges of housing delivery.

Sessions will explore how councils and developers can accelerate brownfield development, build stronger partnerships with investors and create new funding models for council-owned housing companies.

Workshops will dive into the practical realities of capital stacks, joint ventures and institutional investment, bringing together the people structuring the deals that make housing happen.

Day Three: Scaling Delivery

The final day looks at how homes are delivered at scale.

Discussions will explore the realities of Modern Methods of Construction, procurement strategies and how housing companies can strengthen governance as development programmes grow.

The focus is on what works — and how organisations can deliver faster, better and at greater scale.

Where Partnerships Turn Into Projects

Alongside the main programme, the Summit will host curated networking and collaboration formats designed to turn conversations into action.

Summit Partner Connect will facilitate targeted meetings between councils, housing companies, investors and advisors to spark new partnerships and delivery opportunities.

A series of leadership roundtables will also bring together senior decision-makers to co-create solutions on governance, planning and delivery challenges across the housing sector.

A Summit Built for Housing Leaders

With the UK facing an urgent need for new homes, the Housing Development Summit creates a dedicated space at UKREiiF for the organisations responsible for delivering them.

If you are involved in planning, funding, building or managing housing, this is where the sector comes together to share insight, build partnerships and accelerate delivery.

Three days. One goal. More homes delivered.
